European Alps 1999

Based on the experiences from preceding travels, 1999 we went a little further to France and gathered the highest mountain roads on our tour.

our target was the Col d. Parpaillion, a great military road built before the first world war reaching more than 2600m above sea level. We reached the summit under loss of some drops of oil. Most impressing, besides the landscape, is the tunnel at the summit which is full of ice even in summer.

Who wants to preserve his nerves, final drive and engine should do this without luggage...
